Halloween Nails

Its almost Halloween and my Ice Truck Killer glitter polish from Black Cat Lacquer arrived just in time! I'm sure I'll be using this polish a lot, mainly because I'm such a fan of the DEXTER (the showtime show that's the inspiration for this polish), but also because of how unique and awesome it is. This along with her polish Let Them Eat Cake (review and mani pics to come soon) are my first indie polish purchase EVER! I really couldn't be any happier with the quality of her polishes, if you are interested in purchasing any do click on her link.

PS. I am not affiliated with her and I did pay for the 2 polishes myself, my opinions are my own and I have nothing to gain from all the nice things I said and will say about this brand!

(the polish, can't really see much of it's goodness...yet!)

These are the polishes I used for the halloween inspired look.
1st is Orange Fix by Maybelline.
2nd is Cloud 9 by SinfulColors.
3rd is Ice Truck Killer by BlackCatLacquer.

I'm sure you can tell already this polish consist of orange, green, purple, yellow and red glitter of all shapes and sizes. It applies very well and with a gentle hand you will find that the glitter doesn't drag or stay on the brush. To achieve my look and did a very light coat, ONLY one, this is jammed packed with glitter so one coat will do trust me, that's a very good thing too. Some glitter polishes are more clear coat than anything, you will not have that issue here. I will purchase more polishes from Sabrina, I'm pleased with the quality of the 2 polishes I got and will be back for more very soon!

So do you guys have any Black Cat Lacquer polishes? If so what do you think of then? If not, did this make you want one?

Re-Discovered

Hi guys hope you are all doing good and those of you that are in the path of Sandy, please be safe! I live in Florida and I've had my share of storms and hurricanes. But moving on to something much lighter, this post will be about 2 Essie polishes that I actually love yet have neglected for a while. I thought I would share pics with you and tell you why I heart (lol) these!

First is School of Hard Rocks, its a green gray cream polish. It goes on like a dream, I have 2 coats of it on in this pic.

This lovely jelly goodness polish is Risky Business, and whats not to love about it. Orange jelly with little shimmery magic.

Sinful Colors Haul

I'm sure that lots of you took advantage of the $0.99 Sinful Colors sale at Walgreen's, I sure did. These are the colors that I got. (also thanks for reading, FIRST BLOG POST omg!! lol)

This is You Just Wait, it's a sheer baby pink with iridescent shimmer. Mostly you see the change between the pink and green. It took me 3 coats to get this to look a little like it does in the bottle, still this is a very sheer polish and I think for my taste I'll layer it over a soft pink.

(over one black nail so that you really see the magic of all the different size glitters)

This color could not have a better name, Nail Junkie. This polish is packed with different small sized glitters, mostly they are hex shaped but it has some square ones too. This all comes together in a blue jelly that you can wear alone (2 coats is all you need) or over a color that will make this polish POP.

Sugar Sugar, now this color is not impressive in the bottle but once you bush it on IT'S BREATH TAKING. Okay maybe that was a bit dramatic, but I just think that for the price these go for they really made a good quality polish. I love my reds and mostly I go for the more expensive ones because they tend to be more opaque and beautiful. This polish however makes me feel like I have Christmas on my nails, reminds me of the red stripe on a candy cane or those red candy ribbons you see around the holidays. It's a shimmery red and it has some glitter in it that stands out but its so scattered that you cant even tell, took 2 coats only too.

This polish is pretty straight forward it's black with silver glitter. The name it Secret Admirer (kinda cute) it took 2 coats and I haven't tried it yet but I bet it will look great with a matte topcoat.

This is Nirvana, I got this color because I saw some swatches on Instagram and fell in love. I really like taupe colors and nudes, this is in between so whats not to love?!  (the name tag on this polish says MATTE and then Nirvana, this confused me because I waited for it to dry before adding a topcoat and it was not a matte finish at all... So why does it say MATTE on it? No idea!)

This Fall perfect glitter is All About You, I put 2 coats of it over Nirvana. Mainly it's yellow gold micro glitter with some random orange ones as well. Reminds me of fall leafs and pumpkins.

And that is all! Hope you girls have a nice day.
